now i can start making sense...

Ok this should be a little bit of a more coherent review then before (hopefully) now I have had time to calm down

So the episode begins and everything’s fine - from then you know it’s all going to go wrong haha! But the doctor is on the case hurrah!
I do love how happy he is at the thought of seeing Rose again though, I’m still not too sure what I think about it. I do love her but donna and martha are great too!

I do like the concept that the whole planet (along with a load of others) have been stolen. The big thing about all these worlds going missing (even in the torchwood book - something in the water) they are all dissapearing. It’s a dramatic and exciting concept and oh my gosh this episode gets better and better!

First off we have Martha Jones - promoted to New York and working just as well as always. Not too sure that I like the all in black. And I read soemthing the other day about how wrong americans sound in doctor who - even if they really are american. Not sure what it is but I think it is to do with the fact that doctor who is just SO english that anything beyond the UK (especially in terms of accents) doesn’t seem to work. But to every rule there is an exception and that is Captain Jack Harkness. And hurrah torchwood are here and looking as hot as ever! Ianto is witty and funny just like he is in the show - despite it being for children (DW that is) as well as adults torchwood seems to work very well despite not having it’s adult jokes, and everything that comes with (i.e. Emoness, sex and swearing) it manages to work so well in this ultimate crossover. Having said that I do hope that they don’t water the next series down because of this as that would take away a lot from the actual show.

Not for Sarah Jane! I do love her and despite it being a children’s show it works ever so well and is one of the few decent ones on the television. Sarah jane is the companion to beat all companions (well aside from Romana and the new 3 are a bloody equal match) and as the companion from the most iconic of DW times it is only right that she has her own show. Liz Sladen does a superb job (as always) playing SJ and will always do so - nobody can deny loving her! Luke is ok but you do have to remember he isn’t really human and then you get to understand him a little more and then he becomes a supurb actor for what/who he’s meant to be. And mr smith the greatest
computer in the world WTF!

Back to Donna’s family! How much do I love Bernard Cribbins? He is fantastic - sylvia is great but she’s not the nicest of mums but I really do hope we see a sylvia vs. Jackie in the next episode lol! And then there’s Rose with her big ass gun FTW!

I love how fast the Main names have to move to fit everyone in - sorry but that cracked me up no ends! I think I squeed at every name that came up in that so many awesome people - including Penoeple Wilton!

The Shaddow Proclimation! So glad we finally found out what it was and the Jadoon are pretty cool - that main woman is a bit odd not sure if I like her.

I love how Ianto was watching Paul O’Grady haha! Russell does like to have a good few cameos in his finale’s doesn’t he? I also love how gwen is phoning Rhys as it shows that just because not all who fans watch TW the ones that do can still get a lot of satisfaction out of it if that makes sense. And then there is the brief drop of the Sarah Jane friends (maria and clyde).
I find it funny that aside from the people stealing laptops nobody seems to care that Rose has some massive gun with her. I love how jack met a soldier in a bar and Ianto is jealous!

The sound of “exterminate” over everything was simply amazing! In a way it made me laugh but all of them know what it means and how deadly they are, they reactions are wonderful especially SJ who saw them created!

The mill have done the most fantastic job in this episode and the graphics are simply wonderful. Especially the view of all the plants in the sky and the medussa cascade.
I do love the jadoon speaking but then hello tardis translator I want to know what they said damn it! I love Donna and how she speaks up - she really is every bit as relavent as time lords, she is simply the smartest person ever! I have so much love for her I don’t want next week to arrive simply because I am so worried for her.

I love how the daleks destroyed the valient there are so many past references this I love it. Russell knows how to make a fangirls heart go crazy. I am glad Martha got home ok as I was quite worried when Jack said she was dead. The key is a big deal I’m sure - I don’t know what it is but I reckon it must be linked to Donna and of course saving the world somehow.... I also love jack’s passion and how angry he is that Martha used project indigo when he knew it wasn’t perfected.

Davros - that was a bit a a surprise when I found out a week ago that he was returning. The whole thing about Cann going into the time war was amazing. It also leaves a whole new hope that the time lords will return somehow someone can bring them back. I love how cann has lost his mind and that creepy crazy cackle is simply fantastic and makes him so much more exciting the davros (sorry but it’s true).

Why are we hearing Donna’s heartbeat. The woman then speaks to her about what is to come - I am so worried for her but what does she mean somehting new? She is going to be something awesome but I want to know - next week is so going to leave me in floods of tears I can tell!

The bee’s dissapearing! I love how he thinks it’s so silly and then it’s exciting because it means so much and he gets to go into his crazy doctor fast speak! I just realised how much I love Donna’s voice too - her cocky londonness and just everything about her (can you guess I’m a Donna fan). I wonder if we will see the shaddow proclimation again after he ran away from them.

I love how wilfred has a pain gun but it failed. I also love how it’s Bernard’s idea all that. I love how him and Rose are talking about Donna and Sylvia has no idea what is going on. I also understand why people were moaning about Rose’s voice but it doesn’t bother me much and she did have dental treatment so I symphasise greatly with her anyway. I’m mianly too full of squee about the episode to notice anyway haha!

The medussa cascade - I love how we finally learn what that is too. I also find it slightly amusing that 90 years old is a child to him. 10 is so cute I just want to kiss him all over. Catherine is so awesome here where there is nothing they can do - she is still trying to help him find a way even if there isn’t one.

Harriet Jones FTW!! Nobody beats her at awesomeness in this episode! I was so glad she was back because she is wonderful especially when she has a go at jack! I also love how sylvia won’t let wifred have a webcam haha! I love how martha is the 4th contact and not Rose she was so jealous of her which is always amusing. Still don’t like Martha’s mum much but oh well. “I know who you are” the best line ever! And I love how jack flirts with SJ - I mean how could he resist haha! Harriet is a genious! Isn’t Mr copper the guy who the doctor brought to earth at the end of VOtD? The doctor’s secret army! How awesome! I can’t believe that Harriet is going to give her life - she is genious! What an awesome comback and when she was killed by the Daleks that made me cry so much so goodness knows what I’ll be like when next week arrives. Is it just me or is it interesting that they are called “the children of time” by davros and not companions or humans? “you know nothing of any human and that will be your downfall” I love that line it’s just one of those epic moments that I will refuse to forget.

As for calling the doctor - 07700900461 who else phoned it? I know it has to be a non existant number but I was hoping for at least an answerphone message saying something along the lines of “well done for being a geek” haha!

And yay now the doctor joins! I love how jack says “where have you been!” and I love how Gwen thinks he’s hot and how Donna thinks jack is teh sexors! “An outer space facebook” and the doctor is still looking for rose. Oh gosh I loved that linkup it was simply wonderful I could have a whole series of it like that with them just chatting!

I love Sj’s reaction to Davros and the doctor’s of course, I also love how Donna tries to bring him back but of course it’s davros so she can’t! How messed up is he though to give a cell of his body to all the new daleks. Still as mad and wonderful as ever. I do love the doctor’s “BYE!” at the end - oh so hot! I don’t like cann’s predictions about death to the most faithful companion I don’t want Donna to die - ever!

Not too sure why Jack had to leave Ianto and Gwen. I mean I know he has to find the doctor BUT to leave them alone is not too good a thing I don’t think. I thought it was cute how he had to reassure them that he will be back. Oh gosh the last bit has messed me up big time! I love how Donna seems to ship Rose/10 and how sweet is the running. With the romantic who music and of course the fact that Tennant is the hottest man alive and him running is fit as! But I so wasn’t expecting him to be hit by a dalek - if anyone I thought It would have been Rose but oh at least they finally meet. I love how she just says she was busy haha parallel worlds and all not enough time for the doctor...

It also made me very sad when Gwen said “I’m going out like Owen and Tosh” That upsets me no end. I also find Donna’s panic so real but scary and I REFUSE REFUSE! To believe that he is regenerating! Either that or he regerates but some how the thing about the 1 second out of time and balh means by then end he’s back as 10! I find it slightly amusing that all SJ can do is say “I’m Sorry!” to the daleks!

But no regeration - it isn’t time (or it’s the best kept secret in who history)

That TBC at the end pissed me off no bounds I need trailer!

As worried as I was about the Daleks - they are wonderful in this and nothing else would make this episode as epic as it is.

sorry if this is incoherent (will edit when i have calmed down)

OH my gosh I’ve basically been waiting for it all day and now It’s starting w00t w00t! So I watched Ruby In the Smoke - brought back the memories of the greatness of the books which I love big time!
Then I watched “Turn left” one more time to build the squee

OMG how cute was the doctors face at the thought of Rose coming back, that was so sweet.
And Hurrah! Martha’s Back! And Torchwood - Ianto as BUFF! And witty and funny as ever. And now SJS and Luke, and the beloved Mr Smith he is simply legend. Donna’s family! I love Wilfred and how he is so obessed with aliens.
Crap! That was impressive go Rose! The mill have done a fantastic job with those special effects there wow!
Harriet Jones FTW! I bloody love her and I saw last weeks trailer slowed down and new she was back and what a legend going out fighting and that whole link up to each other was wonderful! Especially sarah Jane and Jack flirting - oh the love!!
I was in serious tears when she died

Then Martha with that indigo thing oh my goodness! So glad she’s not dead I love how jealous Rose was with her

Ianto was his normal witty self and His sexyness (Gwen looked rather hot too) but oh my goodness!

I can’t stop squeeing so a more coherent version of this will be posted in a day or two
Poor SJ and Luke! She saw them being created and oh my gosh how scary would that be!
Dalek Cann is epic! Simply awesome I love him too much now!
Donna is made of win as always and david’s face when he saw rose at the end
And WTF regeneration? This isn’t right at all - I mean he can’t not now NO!!! Oh crap I’ scared for them all

I love all the little references to the past and the crossover shows and oh I am full of squee I simply don’t know how I’ll last this week!

How do you solve a problem like maria?

well I have sadly got addicted to the Canadian one now too and i love it and can't stand it at the same time.

I loved the show and the concept especially in the UK and when you get into it it's very very addictive.
I also love John Barrowman (and the only real reason for me bothering to watch this canadian version of the show at all) for his greatness, his hotness, and for simply being honest and well John Barrowman...

I have a few problems with this version of my beloved UK show

firstly; where the hell is ALW? I know he's in a few clips but why does he not have the deciding vote? is it because it's not his theatre/play/anything in Canada? I miss him greatly, he is also very honest and gives great advice and is just wonderful (most of the time!). I don't really think it's fair that the one judge gets the deciding vote after the sing-off. Why not make it all three of them OR have someone different like the guy who actually owns the show over there? I mean wouldn't that make more sense?

Another thing that has bugged me is their dresses. This may sounds silly but their main dresses are ok and I don't mind them much BUT some of the ones they performed in this week were hedious! was it simply to roughly match the person who sang the song? because that was NOT a good move for most of them (there were a few nice ones though). One of the main things I love about it is the different dresses so lets hope for some prettier ones from them all next week.

I also can't stand their hand movements. a lot of them do the arm raising thing which I don't like when they are supposed to be acting really. Some of them looked really awquad on stage too and some of the dancing was just BAD!

the presenter guy is not good. he is funny but not in a good way, it's more of a "WTF???" way that i end up laughing. I do like how sometimes he'll say somehting he thinks is funny and ... silence! haha! at least with Graham's cheesy jokes he would say it with some sarcasm and everyone would groan but he just acts a bit like a prat. I'll learn to love him in time.

this week I didn't think that Katie was good at all (girls just wanna have fun) she was really out of tune and didn't perform well at all. She is only 19 so I don't think she would be right for the role anyway but you never know...

the rest of the girls did well - i felt sorry for alison and how her mic didn't work for a bit but I think she wasn't that great anyway but then i don't think that's quite a fair judgement just yet...

highlight of the show: "so you get the deciding vote - are you looking forward to it?" "no and quite frankly only a sadist would" haha

also why were they all crying in austria? I know it's maria's home blah blah blah but was there need for tears??? i don't think there was but oh well...

how the hell did Katie get through though? she was clearly the worst one? and I don't think it's fair that Alison was in the bottom two as she wasn't even heard and she handeled it well and should really have another shot

and Marissa sang jolene rather well so i don't quite know why she was there??

err not too sure based on that if it was the right choice or not as she sang that and had more expression and emotion then Marissa but never mind. still think that Katie should have been in the bottom two....

just wondered if anyone else is watching and what everyone has thought of the show so far?

I didn't like how badly he did the "you could still be maria" part - it's a serious moment and he just made it seem so unimportant and that bugs me no end! it just seems a bit too cheesy for me this version but i still am addicted and will keep watching (even if it is for barrowman)

yeah I'll see you in Zurich...

hmm not sure if i should just post the entire album here or go though each picture...

I think I'll post the album as there are like 70 pics but I'll write everything first how does that sound?

ok so I didn't go with everyone else as I sadly had my last a-level exam on the friday so I had to get an early Saturday morning flight instead. On friday after my exam, i had people over and we drank a fair bit, i got relatively tipsy and didn't get to bed till about 1 ish.

awake at half 4 to have a shower and get ready to go to the airport. Was panicking a bit because i didn't have much time with dad before i had to go through the gate on my own. We had a quick drink and bacon sarnie before i said goodbye. I then ended up being there for 3 hours - I was not amused! But i did get a £3 refeshment voucher which is the right amount for a caramel frapp so i sat there and read TW maagzine

After I had finally landed (and when you fly past the mountains they really do look like the toblerone picture), I got on the train to vevey where the "gang" met me and we were on yet another train to get up the mountain to our rather lush chalet. so we got to the top of the mountain and walked round (a fair few of the pics are from the top). I really love my picture of the cross up there but anyway, we then walked down back to the chalet where we didn't do much, chilled out for a while and sat in the sun listening to cow bells and chatting before heading off to dinner.

oh yeah Gabriella did the GW quiz! we split into 3 teams - I was in team caroline and we won w00t! We were given a mini-marsbar and a yo-yo (which was green naturally) so very GW related there :d

We went to this rather posh resturant where we had salad with bacon and cheese for starters (although i couldn't eat half of it due to the mayo making me want to throw up), a lovely salmon and rice for the main meal which was very filling. Finally there was ice cream with ginger, chocolate, and a bit of fruit around the side. it was lovely but i couldn't eat it all and it cost a lot...

we then walked up the mountain the short way which is basically the steep way, to try and catch the sunset. we missed it a little but i still got a few pictures of the ones that reached the top with me.

Back to the chalet to watch an episode of green wing episode 5 i think we watched of series 2... or no was it episode 9 i'm not sure?

anyway after that doctor who was finally ready so about 5 of us went upstairs to watch that and oh the squee!

Sunday, _faeriequeen and madzilla and I all went down to Vevey as we missed the market the day before. We hired a pedelo for an hour and went on the lake. it was beautiful and so relaxing and really fun as we chatted about random crap - mainly DW related.
we then went and had some ice cream before walking round town and then going back up to the chalet.
We then had a wonderful barbie before playing spoon of destiny. I need to practice as I wasn't very good and lost by an epic amount but oh it was the funniest thing ever!

we were then given a picture of a donkey to colour in and they are now being posted to steve bless him i would be scared haha!
Penny then gave us all a party bag full of some fantastic green wing stuff. There were also chcolate cocks floating around which were very cheering of course!
this was the best part - well the most exciting part in one sense anyway: basically Rita emailed him saying we were in switzerland (i think she may have emailed steve too but then he has a child etc so yeah)
and julian said he was in south of france for a few months (filming i think) but if he was back in london for the weekend he would try and do a video link up with us - sadly that didn't happen
also the dvd was by thinkbox who are a company who analyse adverts and stuff to see how they make people use their brains or something
there were 3 sketches: on with this brain machine that mac used on guy and as he watched some adds the probes revealed different emotions and stuff
the second one was where there was a flat screen tv and it was giving birth and it produced a little phone (which guy then did "your so cute" with great expressions to
and then the second was a mac book (yes the name was another gag)

the final one was in the changing rooms and they talked about miss marple and how they had been asked to do it but guy called her "a scrotum in a hat"
the best bit was when they were talking about kirsty young and guy said "well you know what they say - no one gives tounge like young"
err, we watched the special and then I went upstairs and Gabriella was on her laptop and we started looking at pictures of very hot actors we love - some pictures are pretty revealing but it was funny. i then went back down to watch the end of s2 ep 6 with the pen stab and all!

monday, we got up and packed said our goodbyes to the ones who had early flights and then _faeriequeen and I went into town and brought a few things and read the 20 minutes. We then got on the train to geneva and walked round there for a bit which was nice.

at the airport i brought a fair amount of swiss chocolate (I could hardly leave without buying any) and spending all my money before going home.
When i met my dad at the airport, I went straight to the pub for biology drinks and tried a frusli (or something to that effect) which is a beer with strawberries in it... it's buff. Megan then invited us back to hers and i drank a bit too much vodka there but oh well. I stayed over and actually got home today at 1 where i have spent most of my time catching up with LJ but oh well

click for pictures

Mega squee ahead!

well this weekend provided me with massive amounts of awesome sauce because I was away in Switzerland. However, I'll post about that later... Gabriella managed to take her laptop with her and therefore we managed to watch "Turn Left" all together which was just - WOW!

My only complaint about it is the beetle on her back was a bit shit. I also thought it may have been a spider instead because of the sholw SJ story back with pertwee but then of course this story wasn't really the same. But for the fact that it was the low budget episode it served rather well. The use of previous events was very helpful at lowering budget as at least 5 mins of the thing must all be old footage. Also, Chipo Chung (Chantho) was back and she was pretty good as that creepy fortune teller! In China red is lucky so I assume that's why she got it for free. What i want to know though is WHY was chipo's character so detirmined that she HAD to not meet the doctor - what would the point in that be for her (of course it made a damn fine episode but still).

My love for bernard cribbins once again grows w00t w00t! isn't he just wonderful as Donna's Grandad? and oh my gosh Sylvia is a BITCH! I did not like her much in this but oh gosh how amazing would a fight between her and Jackie Tyler be though?
I'm very much liking this whole plot about how EVERYTHING is evolving around Donna. I mean if you just LOOK at the episode it's all saying how clear it is that SHE is the one that stops all of this - because the doctor needs someone to stop him even if he did survive the racknoss he would have done a similar thing somewhere else. Anyway, this episode in particular made me realise just how much I love new Donna and how I just CAN'T imagine life in who without her. It also showed what a difference there was from runaway bride to now, she has changed into such a wonderful person. I did love her especially when she was fired though. It was the funniest thing, especially with the stealing of the office equipment.
I found her endearing when the forigners all had to leave to a concentration camp place, at first she was so oblivious and then you really saw her heart and her caring about those people - the donna i love with all my heart! I also love when they started signing and then they all joined in - genious!

So, i guess I should talk about the return of Rose. Firstly, this episode was an "OMFG Rose really is back now!" but also I am pleased that despite that I think it was all about Donna and I'm glad that it was because just bringing rose back and having Donna doing nothing would have been quite an epic fail IMO.
She was wonderful and I loved how she could switch between two worlds. I'm a bit confused as to how she knows all those things about Donna's life and how it all needs changing. I loved the flashing as she ran through. I also liked how Donna didn't know or really find out who she was. I think in some ways that could have changed things and I like how they got around it with the whole time in flux thing.
I am excited that she is back - she has the doctor's knowledge and is very wise and level headed which I like.

The scene in the mirrors was totally amazing! It was one of Donna's strongest scenes ever and really showed her true character and how every pore of my being adores her. It was a very scary scene and sad too. not scary scary but you know, i panicked for her massively. The bit about her dying still upsets me. I think it really shows how great she is and how much she needed to do this which is a true sense of trust in rose and unit and just her general goodness in fighting for what is right. Having said that, I love how the reason why she turns left is simply because she can't be bothered to wait in the traffic haha!

I have to mention my squee/ deverstation of all the mentions of the people that died - the torchwood team, SJ and her gang (at which all my friends looked at me blankly as they didn't know who they were and I had to say - SJA), MARTHA (nooo never she can't be killed!) and was there anyone else? each mention upset me big time!

The dead tardis made me very sad but i like how they could use it to make the time machine. Oh and Donna's reaction to the size of the tardis once again. Now onto bad wolf. Oh my gosh yay! this has made everyone realise how epic the final two episodes will be! I thought about the bad wolf thing after the silence in the library and in the girl's house there was a picture of a wolf drawing and it was a bit of a warning i guess. I also loved david's face when she said that:

next week looks totally amazing! Far too many people in it - all of whom i'm overly excited about but i'm not sure how it will all work. Having said that i had so many doubts about this series so far but this weekend has totally changed my mind. It has also helped me to know how it's all linked up to previous episodes (through Donna of course) makes it all a lot greater then before. I'm so looking forawrd to the next two weeks then it's hell for roughly 2 years due to the lack of who and TW how will i cope!

I have watched this trailer for next weeks episode a few times now. it's slowed down and so you can see everything in this episode. This is what has got me so excited and I'm simply cannot wait! DON'T WATCH THIS IS YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHO IS IN NEXT WEEKS EPISODE!!

<lj-embed id="10" />

ok so the next thing I MUST talk about is the return of the new series of Top Gear

again it was great as it always is! Alan carr and JLC as the guests were fab as they always are. they were not very fast but they were just so wonderful and I just love them both

then there is the introduction of top gear stuntman! how fantastic! I'm expecting some crazy ass stunts - this first one was interesting with the reverse jump but i was thinking something similar would happen due to the shape of the car and reverse gear etc. it looked pretty stunning but painful too!

Then the supercar race! oh my gosh I do love those cars, plus I do love clarkson for every reason possible and his reactions when in a supercar is just too funny for words.

Finally, the challenge. EPIC FAIL haha! Oh my gosh "Officer Barbie has arrived"

The thing is that it really DOES look like the barbie jeep i used to have when I was young haha!

Then james with a lexus - I thought that wasn't a bad choice of car TBH:

Plus he wrote "Rozzers" which is close to my name (Roz, Rozzie, etc) in fact some people do call me rozzers so i feel oblidged to side with this car. also I'm loving the ice cream van siren haha!

and clarkson had just gone for the WTF look:

along with his Boddicia spikes it was kinda scary but bloody funny too - especially when he smeared to camera to make his stunts look cool - FAIL!

one of the things I love most of all about TG is Hammond, his cuteness, his hotness and his funniness. Basically i love him!
and he ate paper haha!

I'll post about switzerland in a bit but I need to catch up with a lot of things first :)

midnight review

Firstly, I know this episode would never have worked with Donna in tow but my gosh did I miss her in this episode! I mean she is simply wonderful and I can’t imagine it without her, throughout that episode I was hoping for a cut back to Donna at the palace (I know that would ruin the tone but still.)

I have to say that I found this one of the freakiest episodes in a long long time. Imagine somebody stealing yourself, your voice especially my gosh that is just so wrong on so many levels.

There were a few squee filled things in this episode; firstly, Lesley Sharp! She was captivating and I simply adore her (I knew she would die at the end though because of what she said on loose women the other day but oh well). She was the strongest actor there (naturally that’s aside from tennant who was amazingly good at doing the whole drooling when he couldn’t move etc). Secondly, I got so excited when Rose came on in the background. I know it’s been happening all series but it’s the last time we will se that before she is back huzzah! Then there were the foreign language jokes - allons'y or however you say it which reminded me of the christmas special. Oh and there was a fair bit of tongue p0rn by the doctor which got me jumping up and down in my seat. I think the thing I love about it most though was how much it freaked me out. Oh and I love the knock knock joke as there is a classic one about DW (which I am quickly going to make a macro on)

However, all the things I love about this episode are forgotten and thrown out of the window when I remember how much I hated it. Firstly, no donna makes me sad. Then the rest of the cast (aside from the diver and mechanic guy who were only in it for a minute which sucked as I liked them, lesley sharp and the doctor) where absolutely crap. Half of them didn’t seem like they could really act (the boy was alright though) and then there were just irritating as hell. I know that was partly the point and I know that it’s practically all one scene and so there isn’t much scope as you have to drag it out a LOT but still. I was very tempted to turn over just because I couldn’t stand the supporting cast any more. And I have been disappointed by this series but not to the extent that I am frustrated and want to change channels that Is crazy.

But ok next week. This should be good rose is back hurray? I’m not sure, it means bad stuff is happening plus so many people means I’m still in a panic (although most of them come back the week after I think??). It seems that some things running in the series are resolved like in fires of pompeii “there’s something on your back” didn’t quite catch what it was though from the clip. The doctor is so not dead unless a parallel world i.e. Rose’s world has merged and the doctor in that universe is dead I dunno, I don’t buy it, why would you but it does give reason for why he’s not in it much next week. I’m glad it’s going to be Donna centric but everyone is going to be focusing on Rose so can you really say that it is donna centric when it kinda isn’t? Also I hate how Rose said “you are going to die” I guess in the sense that she traveled with the doctor and she “died” but I really hope that because they keep saying that, it means that in the end she actually won’t die *fingers crossed, touch wood etc.*

Doctor Who - Forest Of The Dead Review

"Just this once - everybody lives!" that's all I could think of at the end. Stephen Moffat likes to save people doesn't he? The doctor dances, and even blink they just go to another time and still have a life...

I thought this was a great episode and definately one of the better of the series. I liked the whole memory thing and the hard drive etc. Donna's life was slightly scary and that Dr Moon really freaked me out as we didn't really know anything about him I guess that's why...

River song is pretty awesome. I knew she would die though and that she knew it was time or whatever. I love the whole screwdriver thing that was cool. Wibbley Wabbley Timey Wimey! I still want to know who she is because I know they didn't say but all I can think of is "ZOMG! she knows his name!!" I don't think he would marry to be honest that doesn't make sense but I think they were close or something. I think she may be related to jack just because she is from the same century (oh and in TW he said he was preggers once haha!) But of course we have no idea really - I hate that

I'm still worried for Donna, i really don't want her to die. The only problem with her being Catherine Tate is that when she was with the children it reminded me of the sketch where she has the posh family thing "mummy, I would like a Raspery yogart" that one?
anyway I also thought that miss Avangelalista's face was freaky for about half a second and then really really funny!

like most Moffat scripts, it was timey wimey, and very very clever, I don't want Donna to die! I can't say that enough but I really really don't.

but oh her husband was real - I want (if she leaves the show) for her to be able to find him and come back to him if that makes sense.

All the stuff about spoilers makes me want to read them more, I want to know what happens to Donna. But then I know I really don't because I want to see it before I read about it.

and oh the bit about both the doctor and Donna being "not fine" was so sweet and the hand holding, I know they are not like Doctor/Rose paring but they are a wonderful couple - like the closest of friends I really really love them together - and I fear that the end of the series is going to have me in tears

next episode looks rather interesting - Lesley Sharp! yay! (I can't belive I'm going to see her on monday w00t) but I don't really know what else to say aside from that...

girls on film!

well the doctor on film I guess
In my moment of bordness I decided to make a trailer on the Doctor Who Websitehere is a good range of clips on there and it's rather fun but I could make something far better if I have the time.

So I have decided that I am definately going to make a doctor/Donna video after the series is up and exams are over (so long as I can find all the episodes i should be fin) and most likely either a torchwood one but I'm not sure. I'll have to find a perfect song and everything which will take a while

anyway here is my trailer if you want to see it: My Trailer
oh and keep your eyes peeled for a post about why I love musicals :)

getting to know you, getting to know all about you

thanks to emma_tennant for this meme
1. Leave me a comment saying anything random, like your favorite lyric to your current favorite song. Or your favorite kind of sandwich. Something random. Whatever you like.

2. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.

3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions.

4. You will include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in the post.

5. When others comment asking to be asked, you will ask them five questions.

so here are my answers to her questions:

1. What song is that lyric from?
It's from a song called 'You' By evanescene and it's simply amy on the piano and the sweetest song I've ever heard but it was never offically released on an album :(

2. Do you like any Doctors other than Ten?
Yes I do. I remember watching who on UK gold a lot as a child and I adored Peter Davison (5) he is still my second favourite. I also love Tom Baker (4) and Christopher Ecclestone (9). Heartnall is pretty good actually (1) in his stubborn way. I don't like 6 (colin Baker) because he was just BAAAAD! 7 and 8 were alright but I wans't keen on the TV movie as much as I love Paul McGann as the doctor the movie was a bit rubbish. I haven't seen much of 2 and 3 to really decide about them but I'm trying to collect the old who dvd's but from what I have seen of those two I like them both as well. So my current ranking is 10, 5, 4, 9, 1, 8, 7, 2, 3, 6

sorry DW rant over....
3. Tesco or ASDA?
Tesco all the way - every little helps! oh there are so many things I love about tesco - mianly the fact that they do sell DW stuff and oreos are cheap there and there isn't an asda near us for miles!

4. Have you ever been to America?
Yes I have a friend who moved out to New Jersey about 5 years ago so I went to visit about 2 years ago and went to new york twice on that trip too

5. If not, would you (even with all the bellyaching I do about it and such)?
Yes I would love to go again, to spend more time seeing the sights in NY - like empire state and statue of liberty but also to see the rest of the country, I would love to go to LA for a bit that would be exciting and hollywood!

Shh Shh, it's all so quiet, shhh shh it's all so still (Silence in the Library Review)

and so peaceful until..
sorry, I quite like that song. moving on thoughts about this weeks episode - thank goodness Steven Moffat (who i keep writing as Stephen - sorry steve) is taking over after RTD leaves next year. He can write and write good!

I liked this episode. It was gripping and not particualrly scary like Blink but freaky at least especially with the skeleton in the suit that looks scary. I'm not too sure how it's related to the girls mind but that seems rather interesting anyway to say the least. I'm sure that will be explained nest week (lets hope so anyway)
My main point of concern is for Donna. I think she is the most wonderful character and when she was talking to that woman it seemed to imply that she is dead. Of course we know that she's not dead right now but even so i am very worried and freaked out because I don't know if I can cope with something like that happening to her. She's to great a character to die. Plus I think I actually love her more then I did Rose so her death would move me into an uncontrolable wreck. It will feel like TW all over again. At least my recovery for that was healed over by the start of DW but once this series is over there is nothing for a while. oh gosh I'm getting worked up about the finale again - not good...

It was an interesting episode and very cleverly written, a big emphasis on spoilers - what was that implying? That you shouldn't read spoilers? Because it made me want to read some even more then before.

The girl was a bit strange again I have no theories as to HOW her world and theirs is connected or why but I'm sure that will be resolved next week along with everything else. Like how on earth that woman knows the doctor, why she has all those gadgets like the sonic blaster gun and sonic screwdriver. Not sure if I really like that woman that much and she can't be a future companion because it seems that they have met at points but don't travel together - a bit like the face of boe i guess?

hmm not sure where to rate this, I think I will have to decide when we see next weeks. Maybe i'll have to class this with next weeks once I have seen it. I think I'll listen to the commentary and watch DWC soon

I'd do anything

Yes I know that it's a cheap title to use but as I am actually talking about the show - it's not as orrignal but I don't care because it totally rules. Despite bloodyBBC Home Page telling me that Jodie won before managing to click on i-playerto watch it, I was still so excited. i think this was definately the best one yet. I also think it was because I watched the whole thing (thanks to i-player) where as before if I missed it then it was tough (sadly) so this was far more addictive.
did you see her eyes pratically pop out of her head when she won! bless her she didn't know what was going on. i always feel sorry for the runner up as they don't even get to sing themselves goodbye. Jodie's speech in the first half of the show was fab too about how she lost weight and blah blah blah. I know I'm not going into that business but somehow it gave me hope in some form anyway. I worked out today that since leaving Harris 2 years ago I have lost two and a half stone. How amazing is that! shame most of it is on my boobs :( I'm a but worried that I'm going to put it all on when I go to uni so maybe I'll try and find a fitness society or some health freaks to befriend to get me into shape. But before then I need to stop eating, I ate far too much today but never mind. The stress of exams will burn everything away!
Them singing "maybe this time I'll win" reminded me of Sarah because when she sang it, she was amazing! Then again so were they AND they got to work with Liza herself (as well as go on a trip to Paris for no reason what so ever).
My heart is still beating so fast from all the excitment!
Jessie was incrediable tonight. Very often she is and I'm really glad she came second - after watching tonight I think that IF she did win, I would have been a little upset but still very happy. I feel rather pleased that the public actually seem to know what they are doing when it comes to these shows, Connie, Lee and Jodie were all the perfect choices. i know we haven't seen Jodie yet but so far she hasn't really faltered so I can't see her going wrong when she gets on that stage.
Jessie as great as she was at the songs, was just not QUITE ready with the accent, and despite having 6 months to work on it or however long it is, I don't think the cockney accent will ever be quite right enough for me to be satisfied.
Oh my gosh I love it so. I am glad it's on i-player for a week because that NEEDS to be watched again. Also the Oliver page on the BBC website has ALL the songs all of them have sung on each week which i'm so going to have to go through at some point - espeically the ones I really liked, for example jodie's chasing pavements and send in the clowns, Rachel's caberet, some of the sing offs to name a few.
I didn't realise how obessed I was with the show until just now but oh man it does rule!
As soon as I know when I'm starting uni and my holidays I am booking tickets to see Oliver: Rownan Atkinson, Gwion, Jodie and Burn Gorman (although it's not confirmed, after Jonathan Ross the other night I don't see how it's anyone else) it's the ultimate fandom play I HAVE to see it.
also John's comment to Jodie tonight about guest staring with her; I would pay so much to see that!
I know I have a dirty mind because all ALW said before Jessie came on stage was "I'm touching everything tonight" (as in touch wood for luck or so you don't jynx it) but it just came out all dirty in my head and cracked me up for ages.

Jade can't make it with me to see Harper Regan (which I have free tickets for) so I need to find somebody else, I'm not sure who I'll bring at the moment but I'm sure I'll find somebody to come to a free play with me.

It was Josh's birthday BBQ today and it was so much fun. I haven't felt like I fit in or belong with those guys for a long long time and so today was just wonderful as I didn't feel that once and we felt like a proper group. Also Amy is having a birthday party and thankfully it's on a sunday just after Hollie leaves (not that I'll be glad she's going as I miss her like crazy all the time) but it means I'll be able to make it as at first I thought it was the saturday and that would have made me feel left out once again. Anyway rambling on again...

so yes, I will miss I'd do anything on tv, now my saturday nights are just doctor who (and I haven't seen this weeks episode yet but Hols said it was confusing so I'm still not holding much hope yet).

But Andrew Lloyd Webber is writing a "Phantom Of The Opera 2" Oh my gosh yay! THAT is going to be made of awesome, just like all his other work. i really do love that man because he IS basically the English musical theatre writer/composer. there isn't really anyone else.

music make you loose control

Ok well here is a music meme for you all
1. Reply to this post and I'll assign you a letter.
2. List 5 (and upload if you want to) songs that start with that letter.
3. Post them to your journal with these instructions.

my letter is B

1. Baby it's fact- Hellogoodbye
This song is so sweet and cheers me up when I listen to it. Hellogoodbye are a rather interesting sounding band which is why I quite like them .

2. Beating Heart Baby- Head Automatica
This song is so addictive, it reminds me of Leila and my 17th. It also reminds me of a green wing video I saw on youtube. it's good for releasing a lot of anger as well

3. Believe Again and Brave Face - Delta Goodrem
Yes I'm cheating by putting two into one thing but I have so many songs!. anyway I'll talk about the first then the second; Her first single released from her 3rd album. Not the best song on the album but then again the album is fantastic. This is catchy and optymistic. It is a song that I love so much and in some ways I can relate to and the lryics are most beautiful - listen to it if not the rest of these songs because it is fantanstic! Brave face is so sweet and wonderful and just stays in my head once again especially when I wear high heals haha! She is my favourite artist of all time and I don't know if I'll ever get tird of her music

4. Buck Rogers - Feeder
One of the most played but also most loved songs ever! It's such a rock out song to dance in your bedroom to. i adore feeder so much and there are so many better songs then this one by them BUT it is the catchiest and i do love it so.

5. Big, Blonde, And Beautiful - Hairspray
This has very quickly become one of my favourite musicals of all time. This song helps me NOT to worry that I feel fat or ugly most of the time but to think that it's actually a GOOD thing. It is easy to dance to - like the rest of the film and just makes me feel rather good about myself.

in other news: James Henry I want your life

Isn't it Ironic, Don't you think?

Ok well I've decided that I'm going to make each of my journal entries a song title related to the entry (aside from reviews which may stay as the boring: episode... review)

anyway, today I went to the Graham Norton show with my friend Jade. And it was such a fun day. We met up at half four thinking we'll have at least an hour before we have to go and que but there were already people there so we qued with them. then we got put in the "glam" que as we were dressed up so we stood in the fancy que which was quite jokes and the got people to walk up this red carpet. But they side stepped us which made me slightly pissed but oh well haha! Anyway we eventually got inside and we got to sit about 3 rows from the front we were so close to the sofa it was exciting :d

Then Graham came on and told a really funny but embrassing story about sex and his dog - I probs wouldn't tell it well so I won't bore you with it. Then the show started and oh it was fab. Dame Edna was the main guest and she is just a joke. They made fun of Barry Humphries on I'd do anything and then he mentioned John Barrowman to which I squeed in my head.
he said: "The thing is with John, is that when you pay him a complement of any kind you know he's already paid it to himself beforehand" haha! Oh John I love you with all my heart

He then talked to a Pshychic which was the funniest thing as she said nothing and Graham was like "wait we were charged £3 for that!" and she hung up haha!

err there was also this guy who was kinda like bear grills I guess and is one of those outback people which was interesting and he tried to start a fire which failed the first few times but then he used a different method and it worked eventually.

then Alanis Morrisette came on and chatted - mainly to Edna for a few mins before going to sing her new song "underneath" I'm not a massive fan but it was rather good and due to some form of problem we heard it twice but oh well.

When we were leaving we went to the loos and the female que was so long that we went into the mens - there we no guys there so it was ok haha! stank though :|

then I ended up coming home and yeah, it should be interesting to watch it back on thursday as they will have to cut a fair bit out - but oh it was so funny my face was hurting from smiling and laughing so much afterwards

Geek lists are love!

I just voted for GDL, DT and JB on this list: hot geek list

and then discovered how many more people I love! firstly here are the others I would consider hot (in this order:)
Richard Hammond
Naoko Mori
Adam Brody
Paul Rudd
Nicholas Brendon
Alyson Hannigan
Anthony Stewart Head

then if I'm honest I don't find the following 4 hot but I adore them so
Simon Pegg
Jonathan Ross
Nick Frost
Robert Webb (I love how they refer to him as Mac in the mac ad's and not any of his actual shows haha)

and now I feel bad as I can't vote for them all. So I'm thinking take your time unlike me. i think the three I voted for are the best 3 BUT i do adore my list so I feel bad for not being able to vote for them

today I left my house 20 mins eariler then usual to make sure I don't miss the bus and get there on time etc etc for my exam and ended up waited 30 mins for the 75 and was a few mins late to my exam and was really upset about it when i came in. That didn't help the exam to go well but it wasn't too awful once I had calmed down. I know I could have done so much better if I was in a calm mood

Bowling was ok, I only played one game - no strikes :( 2 spares though and I got 98 points (I came third)
then I went to Amy's house for a BBQ which was nice and Carolyn and Phoebe had made toffberry pie (strawberries and toffee) it was amazing. stayed outside and chatted for ages then played singstar for a bit and I sang love shack and papa don't preach (I felt bad as it really wasn't the same without hols and naide). I also felt a bit out of place - aside from playing singstar, because i never really know what to stay and just feel like I don't fit in at all.
On the bus home I saw two boys from Harris both of whom I didn't like much - aron was ok but Harry was an idiot all the time but meh!
I also saw my friends' leavers prom pics from Harris and it made me wish i was still there - I know Langley was/is so much better for me and I have far more stable friends now BUT I wish I was still with Mica and Leila and Katie, Ayoma, Rachel and Anita, and Abz and mel.
at least I'm still in touch with Tte and Jade so it's not too bad
I need to learn to move on!

Doctor Who 407 review

Oh how marvelous! I adore Agatha Christie anyway and most murder mystery books and programs (I think I get that from my mum) But a cross over with The Doctor in tow was simply perfect. I had seen the picture of “that” scene and thought was it photoshop or somehting? But no it was real but then again it was like the Martha kiss at the start of s3 but then this one had no “oh my I love you” attached to it. Although the doctor did seem to imply it a little which makes me think that he is falling in love with her. Anyway from the top. Donna is wearing that lovely pink top *wants * it’s beautiful and she looks so buff (I think I have a slight woman crush on her). Then she changes into the flapper dress “Flapper or slapper?” what a line haha! I loved her posh accent throughout this episode and especially the end where she just went back to her usual voice. The characters were interesting but I did guess the vicar quite early on as he seemed the lest likely and it’s always the one you least suspect. Fenella woodgear?? Was stunning, she played the role of Agatha Christie so wonderfully I totally adored it. Her character was written well and was as observent as her characters in her books were and was a normal as anybody would expect her to be in that time. I always love it when then meet a writer in the past - to me agatha is the best one of the three. Shakespeare was wonderful and is a genious, and dickins was as strange as could be but Agatha is my favourite out of the three (sorry Shakespeare) simply because of how and what she writes. I did love the gag about meeting writers and Donna’s reaction to meeting Agatha in the first place. Again there was the usual “whoops I’ve mentioned stuff from the future again” things which I do love in a strange way. I didn’t quite get the end when he pulled out that book - that made no sense to me how could she write a book thousands of years later, it makes no damn sense! The wasp was pretty good well done to the mill once again and I loved the plot in general really. Felicity Kendal was wonderful too, I still remeber her from the good life but she played the role so well. And the Unicorn woman when she was caught - he voice cracked me up haha! Sadly I wasn’t squeeing through this epsiode, I love all the little bits and everything but last week was more squee but then it was the doctor’s daughter. Err, It was a very very strong episode and a vast improvment from the past episodes. Don’t get me wrong I liked past episodes but this seemed to be just wonderful more then a lot of the others. I still don’t feel like series 4 is shaping up to be much good especially compared to 3. Despite me loving Donna more then the other two companions I still can’t seem to love this series like maybe I should? I don’t know. Next weeks (well 2 weeks due to eurovision) oh gosh does that mean that even I’d do anything isn’t on :( anyway it looks good. It didn’t look scarier the blink but it May well be because that’s what they claimed it to be. However they also claimed that series 4 will be the best yet and frankly, it really hasn’t. I do have a LOT of hope in Moffat that he can turn this show around so it should be bloody good the next 2 episodes lol!

Doctor who 406 review

Sorry for the random bits of squee in my review, and it took a day because my damn brother talked through it yesterday
I
do love martha and Donna’s friendship. Oh chris from skins, he was the best one. Him in war gear is rather good lookin’.
The doctor’s daughter, interesting, I still find it irionic that she is 5th’s daughter lol! Bit fustrated by the “technically” it means that it’s not susan’s mum - gutted I was waiting for many references! Interesting how she’s not a clone but is.
And trust Martha to get kidnaped, twice in a row - she’s begining to appear stupid now, it’s not funny. G.I.Jane FTW! Oh donna she owns! The hath seem like interesting creatures and I know the bubble’s are cool but what happened to the tardis translater? And half fish half human, interesting? Oh right the y made her from that little bit of cells they took - that was fast, wouldn’t she die soon or not I don’t get it?
Why is he older then everyone else? The general? He’s a bit heartless, clearly the “bad guy”
HAHA I love how they are swooning over Martha jokes! I’m a little sick of the mass deaths in DW lately, and look it’s another war about the destiny of something.
Wait Martha understands them, meaning tardis translator is working but then again why can we not hear it - I blame Russell! And oh gosh the question of what’s real/alive, here we go again, there seems to be a big theme about planets and things being lost and wars.
Ahh rambo - bless her, and the “we’re not a couple” thing, in some ways I wish they were but then again not like how Rose was with him. And it seems to be nearly every episode now, it needs to stop, a joke can get killed you know? I do love Donna’s sarcasm.
Numbers, that’s going to be interesting when it is solved. I like Jenny’s ethics and questions with the doctor. And oh the joys of mobile phones lol.
Two hearts - w00t time lord! And back to the last of the time lords stuff. I do love it and it’s interesting but it is a LITTLE repetitive though. Awww Martha and the Hath, at least she is finding her own way, she is still smart - asie from when she gets captured.
Oh yes sex appeal always wins, oh Donna, bless her cotton socks, how can you not love her? Why does the doctor have a toy mouse???
Ok that was not impressive at all! That was so rubbish oh my goodness I feel a little dissapointed. That’s my only problem - I would have to get fit before I meet the doctor as I cannae run to save my life.
What is the point in those cross beams? I swear it’s just to have her do back flips lol.
Trust Martha to fall into a pit of sinking crap. But then if the Hath are half fish why can’t he swim out of it after he saves her? Half of this makes no sense. That’s not the best acting skills from Freema there crying - in fact that is VERY poor indeed.
A whole new world - a new fantastic point of view! Sorry but Aladin yay! And oh no something will happen to Jenny as she’s not going to get to come with him.
And haha dad shock! At least he mentions his child, I’m glad it was mentioned as otherwise the whole point of this episode would have felt pointless, do you know what I mean. The doctor’s daughter, they couldn’t NOT mention susan’s mum/dad?
And oh he is wrong - I love how Donna’s not afraid to question him, he isn’t perfect, and oh the running - again!
Getting close to working out the numbers, Donna is strangely clever in a strange way. Ah all the answers are coming together now. Super temp yes! 7 days! (sorry but reminds me of the ring) but oh this just adds a few plot holes, I know they try and explain it but still
Martha is back huzzah, Sadly, her part has been so wasted as her return in both TW and DW being ok in the first episode back then just in a way very pointless in the second two. Sorry but I know we only really need one companion but why do they have to waste her, it upsets me a little.
Ok did not really get what he said aside from that the source is to do with life. Oh well I guess I don’t need to know much else. Oh that knob head, I don’t even get why he felt the need to shoot the doctor.
Also I know she is not “true tiem lord” but seriously, two hearts! The doctor would use them to fight. An why doesn’t she regenerate? And when he says “she was too much like me” what does that mean in respect to her death - it makes no sense at all! Touching scene though.
I love the doctor “I never would” oh the passion, I love my teninch he is hotness and amazing and fantastic!
Chris wasn’t in it much, I love him but it was strange to see him in DW and not as “chris in skins”
Now Martha has left again - but at least she is back in 6 weeks yay!
Why did Donna have to say that she would travel with him forever? Now something is going to happen to her I’m sure and that upsets me - she is the best of the new who companions (jack aside)
I hope we get to see her fiance at some point he was not bad looking last time I remembered.
Oh yay she is alive - that’s so going to build up to either series finale (Which I want but don’t because there is already too many people in it) OR some of the specials next year

Agatha Christie “NO!” oh the excitment, I’m well looking forward to this, I love Agatha Christie in general and the casting they have for next weeks is great.

I personally think that May have been the best episode of the series so far. I really enjoyed it and was full of squee most of the time lol! But Partners in crime was made of megalolz but then it didn’t have Martha in, I will jude at the end of the series I think gah half way through already how did that happen?

I would have stayed up with you all night, Had I known how to save a life (abortion right or wrong?)

I know this a tough subject which is strange for LJ but I can't stop thinking about it as things about Pregnancy and stuff has been in my head lately. I blame everyone talking about weddings and babies, even in home and away for goodness sake lol! anyway, last night at the Barn we talked about life before birth and abortion. here is what I know and what i think - what do you think about it? I want to know other people's opinion even if I doubt my mind will ever change about this.

Firstly, by day 21 (3 weeks after conciveing) the heart begins to beat
By day 40 Brain waves begin to form
By week 12 all the organs are formed, the baby can move and just needs to grow
It can even feel pain

The earliest born baby was born at 21 weeks and 5 days and is perfectly healthy now.

Before the abroion laws were introduced in this country 5-10,000 people each year had an illegal abortion in the uk

The laws have only been around for 40 years and in that time the rate of abortions in the UK has increased to 200,000 a year (that's 550 a day!)
The laws state you can have an abortion up to 24 weeks of pregnancy (so the baby is roughly 2/3rds its average size at full term), and all it's organs and brain waves are formed. However, if the baby is at risk of having a disability (this includes a cleft lip which is crazy) then it can be aborted right up to birth

So if all the baby is doing especially after 12 weeks is grow what right do any of us have to take away that life?
98% of abortions are because the mother doesn't want the child for whatever reason, only 0.000005% of abortions are because the mother is at risk of death!

I'm sorry but is this just rediculas? It is also known that after an abortion it's very hard to try and get pregnant and have a child later on in life even if somebody change their mind. It also means the mother has to live with the fact that she killed a baby and it's clear that a lot of people can't handle it and never get over it.

I'm not saying that everyone has to have a child, but don't be silly enough to get pregnant if you don't want one. Also if you do get pregnant then have it anyway, you may change your mind when it's born OR give it up for adoption. for every child that COULD be born but not wanted there are thousands of people who so want to be parents but can't for whatever reason. Don't they derserve a child if somebody else doesn't want it. it also means that the mother ok has to go through pain and give it up, but at least they know they could be having a good life and don't have to live with th burden of knowing that there could be a child that does amazing things in this world.

I thought about this before as to what i would do if I got pregnant (not that i could right now but you know) and I would love it so much. I did think about abortion and career and stuff but a child is so much more important and I can't think of anyone (aside from God) who would be better to love. Thinking about it today, if one of my friends told me they were pregnant and wanted an abortion I wouldn't judge them they are my friend and I love them, but I would advise them away from it. I would also suggest that they give birth and if it be the case I would even take the child for them because I know I could love him/her so much despite not being a very meternal type. I have never wanted a big family and never really said I wanted kids but if I was married and my husband wanted them and I was comftorable having them then yes I would be happy to have one but not detirmined. But i still couldn't reject a child especially if it's only other choice is death

even with disabilities, so many disabeled people do amazing things and it outstounds me. Most of them, even downs syndrome children live happy lives. of course it's so much harder but then isn't it so much more rewarding in some way? Maybe this is just my nursing instincts seeping through here I don't know...

did you know that people with HIV can fall pregnant and have a 98% chance of having a HIV negative baby. Providing they take the right meds of course) but if that was avaliable in 3rd world countries where HIV is a major issue think of how many lives we can change. I am detirmined to change things and work for certain countries when I become a nurse because I know it can make such a big difference

also reducing the abortion dates to 20 weeks is a good thing, it will hopefully save many lives from being wasted when it's not necessary.

Poison Sky Review

oh my days so much batter then part 1 lets be honest. so many things not sure where to begin

Donna's mum has an Axe in the house! that family are jokes! Donna being awesome as always "back of the neck" oh she is great, I loved how the doctor always knew that Martha 2 was a clone, how could he not really lets be honest?

I still didn't like the american "teen" genious because maybe it was his americanness in an english show that bugs me but then John Barrowman is fine, maybe it's the fact that he simply can't act. All those red trackies were far better actors then him in my mind anyway.

I also loved the quick flash of rose which was hard to see and not even entirely sure that it really did happen at first but it really did. I thought that was interesting and also exciting as it builds up to the end I guess.

I like the line about martha in the doctors coat something like "I feel like I'm dressing up in my farther's clothes" and Donna says "call him that ou won't get any" or something along those lines, really cracked me up

errr i was well gutted the killed Ross, I liked him, he should have mad a return and when the two main UNIT people (names of whom escape me) kissed at the end oh that was too funny, bless.

I also liked the bit about giving her a key - yay official companion now - I swear its always around episode 4/5 now I guess

and where she wacked him then stroked his leg when he came back alive at the end

next weeks looks interesting but little seemed to be shown, seemed like my hope of it being a doctor's daughter and not THE doctor's daughter has totally failed. But I think it will be interesting, it' not much of a shock as well he had a grandaughter - susan so clearly he had to have a child at some point, I wonder if they mention Susan (I hope so). should be interesting anyway. Man that was brief, I need to watch it again methinks

Musicless Mondays / Gavin&Stacey is Love

Ok so I've started this new thing where I don't listen to music on mondays. It sounds strange and I listen to music non-stop so it's really hard. But it has been rather nice to have so quiet, sometimes it's strangely needed. It also means that on my way to and from school instead of listening to music, I pray. I don't prey nearly enough, you can never pray enough but it has really helped and gives me a good start to the week.

also following my past post about Calum: he texted me today asking me if I was free for coffee tomorrow I am so confused as to what it's about or why or anything... gah it's messing with my head big time!

and now as it's monday last week I wrote about why I love Torchwood, This week it's why I love Gavin&Stacey. Any suggestions for who/what to write about for next week would be helpful :)

1) The characters. Each is so real, so believeable and so unique that they each deserve a big ranting praise in their own right
2) Nessa Shanessa Jenkins. Firstly, what a middle name! That was revealed in the last episode and it cracked me up so much, just because her names rhyme and I love Rhymes. Nessa in general is great because she has a love for wales (including a tattoo of the welsh dragon on her arm). This also includes her strong accent, the fact that she is still on Barry Island and her general phrases (but I’ll come to that later). I also love the fact that she has slept with pretty much everyone in the country. The list includes (smithy of course), John Prescott and even the whole of GLC. She has a love of life and a love of the welsh language. She also knows a lot about everything completely random. She has some strange sex fettishes and is not afraid to talk about them, especially with Stacey whom she is a great friend towards. She is honest and truthful (I won’t lie to you, no word of a lie). She also has many jobs and we don’t even know her age, that is a great mystery about her. She has lived life and we don’t know a lot about her and as much as we want to I am happy not knowing so many things. She is also a great singer and I loved it when she sang at Gwen’s party as well as when she was at work singing with Bryn. She loves food and in particular Gwen’s Omlettes . She is just made of awesome in so many ways
3) smithy is a strange and rather big headed character. But I seem to adore him so. He is rude and doesn’t take Gavin’s marriage too seriously as he is jealous of loosing his best friend to a girl. This just makes him act like a twat at times but it also makes him all the more human. His relationship with Gavla! Is a beautiful one as all he ever wants to do is spend time with him, drink a beer and be his best friend. He May be rude to many people at the best of times but his speach in the car in the last episode was not only sweet, caring and moving, but it was also Smithy in his full glory. I adore his love/hate relationship with Nessa and I know it will never really happen but I seriously want him to get together. He has tried his best at being there to prepare for the baby. I also love how he has thought about her - like last week looking at the pregnant woman. He was also detirmined to get to the birth of his child and had already made so many plans about it’s upbringing and whilst being a bit rude about it, he does care and love. Also the kiss on the forehead to Nessa at the end of the episode - I could read into that so much but he really does love her. He also (like Nessa), loves food and sex. They have a lot in common and it’s clear that everything about them is meant to be. He also has a beautiful smile but I May talk about that more later.
4) Pamela! Oh my goodness she is a typical mother and she’s from essex and just too wonderful for words. She is a little lazy and leaves things to Mick, she also gets nervous and always longs to please and impress. So much so that she lied about being a vegetarian and even when she was rumbled she still stuck to the lie for the sake of everyone else. She has a wonderful laugh and a great flirtation especially with Smithy even though you know it’s just a laugh. She also has a love for Charles and camilla which is odd but fantsatic and brilliantly funny all the same. Sadly, this didn’t seem to be emphasised much in the second series. Pam and her family in general also love singing, and her and mick sing to each other which shows that their love is still alive between them. She speaks her mind and she is very irrational at the best of times but it makes for good comedy as well as plot progression every now and then. She is just such a funny and fantastic woman.
5) Mick, well he’s a lot more quiet then Pam but he still has a heavy role in the film. He settles the balance of conflicting characters in Essex as the calm one of the family. He loves Pam and his son gavin, as well as golf. He is kind and looks after Stacey as well as his own family as best that he can. He stays in the background more then most but he adds to the comedy more as it’s his subtle actions that create great comedy.
6) What on earth Happened on that fishing trip? I’m going to add Stacey’s brother in here too as his main scenes are with Bryn and involve the fishing trip. I really want to know what happens but the way I see it is that it’s like the time war in Doct
