Well again what can I say aside from - it is freakin' epic!


So, sat behind us were Russell, Eve and John, who were giggling and laughing a fair bit before it started. then when it did and their names came up they gave a mini cheer each time. I was tempted to but didn't want to act like a twat. In fact all my reactions were toned down a fair bit because they were there.

After it finished we chatted for a bit but we didn't want to say much and I was too scared to turn round and talk to them as that felt weird too. So we waited for them to go on stage and do the Q&A

now I'm sure I've missed out a lot but here is what I can remember - all of which is non spoilery to the show!

Firstly, Catlin Moran was kinda like interviewer woman and asked a few structured questions. at one point she said "oh I can't ask that because that's about episode 2.." oh dear lol. She got John to talk about how he hurt his foot to which most of the crowd shouted "we already know!" but it was still amusing to hear it again especially when Russel said "i can't believe it's your first flip flops!" "no it's the first time I've worn these ones - I've flip flopped many times before"

they alos made many comments about how they make great action heroes with one having his leg in a cast and the other pregnant haha!
there were a fair few jokes made about Eve's pregnancy saying that it's really Kai Owen under there just packed really tightly. Also John said in a few months she's going to lay in my pool and be a beached whale attraction!

err John also made jokes about how we had all paid for his pool by being his fans :)
they asked them if they were to steal anything from set what would it be. I can't for the life of me remember what Euros said, Russel said the Doctor to which John was jealous but then said "oh well I have Ianto it's ok" he then said that he wanted the vortex manulipator so I think someone should buy him the shop one instead haha! Eve said that she would be rubbish and steal something like a chair or the medical table up her hood and they would all call her a dirty robbing welshwoman!

They also talked about how sci-fi is percieved over in america. john was saying how he thinks that they just see it as sci-fi instead of "British" sci-fi but the way the characters develop and things, that's what makes it unique and enjoyable. This lead on to talking about how americans don't know where Cardiff is and people thinking it's near Newcastle and one woman who though all countries were placed geographically in alphabetical order haha! Eve also said that at comic con there was a woman who said "I love the show but sometimes I struggle to understand your English accents" "yeah that's cause we're welsh love" haha!

Russel spoke about why they used children and that it's a lot stranger and freakier to use children then a whole bunch of adults. Euros mentioned Andy Pryor the casting director and how he managed to find a few schools and things that were willing to film and how they were not too bad to work with.

Russel also said that he wants to bring more tie ins with doctor who and there will be a few referneces in this series. He also said he wanted it to run and run for 10 years or more (amen to that!). Somebody asked about TW the musical to which John's reaction was it woudln't work. and whilst i wished he was wrong i think he is very right. He said the only thing it worked in "and no I haven't seen the Buffy episode" (to which everyone died of shock) "I wasn't a fan ok! anyway, the thing it worked in was Scrubs where it was seeing it through the patients mind"

Later on in the evening we came up with the idea that it could be a dvd extra as a bit more like an outtake or a 10min story or something.

The final question was from this adorable little kid who was dressed as captain Jack. So John made him come to the front so everyone could see his outfit. and his question was "do you like my outfit?" it was an adoable not to end on.

I'm pretty sure that was all the non spoilery questions, oh! aside from the radio plays will be on soon (RTD didn't know when but it's 1st-3rd July) and they are just individual stories not related to COE at all. and the reason for no airdate is so that ITV don't put something like Britain's Got talent on at the same time. so it should be about 2 weeks before that we will find out when it's going to be on...

I am still so hyper about what happened this evening. I'm not too sure I can even put it into words so I'll do a proper report tomorrow.
rickman_101 grasshopper64 and I were lucky enough to have tckets for the BFI's advance screening (plus Q&A) for series 3 episode 1 of Torchwood: Children of Earth.

Right now all I can get out is: RUSSELL WAS SITTING RIGHT BEHIND ME! with Eve behind Gwen and John Behind Sarah (and at one point his foot between the two of them). Plus mummy and daddy barrowman and his sister Carole were in the row behind them

this did mean that I didn't react as much as I should have usually because I was very away of them being behind me!

everything that I was worried/concerned about (although by this point most of my worries were gone I just wanted to see the damn thing) have been erased by sheer amazingness and excitement of it all- I have to say i think it may even be better then it has ever been it was simply amazing!

at least for those of you who haven't seen it you only have to wait 24 hours before the next episode I am in agony already and I have to wait another 5/6 weeks or so whenever it's going to air!
